3POINT DESIGN
We use Vectorworks to draft all of our designs. We have 8+ years using this software and currently have a 2020 Vectorworks License. We use the software to bring our vision to life, and provide accurate and crystal clear paperwork, renderings, and patch information. This is our preferred medium to use when formulating and presenting our designs to our clients.
We use MA Lighting consoles on all of our shows. With 5+ years of experience with this software and hardware, our confidence, knowledge, and troubleshooting skills are unparalleled within the industry. The depth of our knowledge allows us to utilize the many facets of this software to its maximum potential, resulting in simple yet elegant solutions for all sized shows.
The reason why we are all here. It’s our life blood and motivation. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a project reach fruition. From envisioning a design to manifesting it into reality, operating our live shows brings us the greatest joy in life. We see all of our projects through the entire process and bring 6+ years of experience to the table.
Spencer Michaels has been working towards his career as a professional light designer/programmer/operator for 10 years now. He received his theatrical lighting design bachelors of arts degree from the University Of Santa Barbara, California In 2014. He was then hired as a member of the ACT Lighting, INC Software Support Team the summer of his graduation. During his time at ACT, he provided MA2 software support, MA2 training, and onsite support for the entire North American entertainment industry region. While at ACT, Spencer also designed, programmed, and operated for a variety of artists, including: Bassnectar, Taylor Swift, Nike, Rebelution, and Elohim. Spencer has now reached his dream in forming 3Point Design, LLC and aims to provide professional, reliable, and innovative uses of all things that bring light into this world.
